Many people are looking for picturesque places to live that touts affordability, safety, and other perks. While America has no shortage of these vibrant neighborhoods, several ones may be out of reach for most people. We're talking about the swanky, lavish communities where the houses are more like mini-hotels than everyday homes. The houses tend to have updated appliances, wonderful amenities like fitness rooms and patios, and many luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms. Manicured roads and sidewalks, lush greenery, and nice cars are another hallmark feature of these neighborhoods. As a result, most Americans are comfortable taking a peek at the lives of the affluent and seeing what it's like.

If you're curious about these communities, Reader's Digest revealed every state's most expensive neighborhood based on ZIP codes.

The website said Colorado's priciest neighborhood is 81611, located in the renowned city of Aspen. This iconic destination is home to over 6,700 people and the median household income is $94,338, according to U.S. census data.

"Aspen boasts a median home value of $4,869,200," writers remarked. "The swanky city in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains is a ski resort town and year-round destination for outdoor recreation. Aspen is also known for its high-end restaurants and boutiques."
